Fractional calculus, discrete dynamical systems, and nonlinear difference equations
Dr. S. Arundhathi is a promising early-career Indian mathematician whose academic profile is centered on modern developments in fractional calculus, discrete dynamical systems, and nonlinear difference equations. She completed her PhD in Mathematics from Periyar University during 2019–2025, with a doctoral thesis titled Oscillatory Behavior of Certain Nonlinear Fractional Difference Equations. Her academic training also includes M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Mathematics with strong academic performance.
Her principal research interests include fractional difference equations, oscillation theory, Hilfer-type fractional operators, nonlinear discrete systems, and higher-order difference equations. These are active and technically sophisticated areas of applied analysis, particularly relevant to systems with memory effects and discrete-time dynamics. Her work demonstrates strong specialization in qualitative behavior of fractional discrete models, especially oscillation, non-oscillation, damping effects, and existence theory.
Dr. Arundhathi has already established an encouraging publication record in recognized journals. Her research has appeared in Demonstratio Mathematica, Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Journal of Fractional Calculus and Applications, along with a Springer book chapter.
In addition to publications, she has actively presented her work at international conferences hosted by institutions such as SVNIT Surat, NIT Puducherry, and NMIMS Indore. Her academic merit is further demonstrated by qualifying CSIR-NET (Lectureship) and GATE examinations.
